If you haven’t tried out the canal on a Sunday – you’re really missing out!
I know – it’s mean to talk about the weekend on a Monday, but here it goes . . .
Sundays in general on the canal have a party-like atmosphere. Yesterday in particular, there were people everywhere! There were kayakers paddling down the canal and the river, people fishing, teenagers tubing, kids playing, dogs swimming, music blasting from St. Michael’s Park, and so much more!
This coming Sunday will bring yet another summer concert at the Fitzwater Station. It’s part of their Summer 2012 Concert Series, which takes place every other Sunday from 4pm to 8pm at the Grove at Fitzwater Station.
The remaining dates and line up are as follows:
August 19th - “Dog Bite Money”
September 2nd (Labor Day Weekend) – “Sharpless Brothers” and “Bad Habit”
September 16th – “The Manatees”
September 30th - “Lights Out”
October 7th (Fall Finale - Weather Permitting) – “The Manatees”
